Erica Scott Tolbert
Attorney & Founder
As the daughter of an Entrepreneur, Erica understood one thing early on in life. For entrepreneurs and small business owners, family and business often go hand in hand. We start businesses for our family and with our family. And family is the fuel that motivates us, empowers us to make the sacrifices essential for growth, and keeps us grounded with our ultimate purpose.

Erica began SCOTT | TOLBERT with the mission to serve both Entrepreneurs and Families understanding that the two are often inseparable.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Erica is a proud alumni of Huffman High School. She graduated from Berea College with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. Erica later received her Juris Doctorate degree from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.
Erica has always been a fighter. Before starting her career as a lawyer, she fought against educational inequality as a Corps Member of Teach For America in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
Erica was raised in a strong Christian family that values service above all. She has chosen to spend her life ensuring that those who are unable to speak for themselves have a voice and access to justice and equality.
Erica formerly served as a Criminal Appeals & Defense Associate for one of Birmingham’s premier civil litigation law firms and has since transitioned back home to Blount County with her family to focus primarily on protecting families and small businesses with the same tenacity and fearlessness with which she has always served.

Erica brings with her experience clerking for the Alabama Attorney General's Office - Civil Division and several notable law firms in both Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama.

Erica resides in Blount County with her husband, Duane Tolbert, a State Farm Agent, one daughter, Carrington, and one bonus daughter, Dallas.
